- What counts as a connection?
- Each Google account you connect is one connection. One connection can reach every spreadsheet that account can open. The Free plan includes 2; Basic is unlimited. Disconnecting an account doesn't free up its slot, but you can always reconnect it.
- Do Parquet files count toward the limit?
- No. Parquet uploads and URL sources don't use a connection, and sources, views and collections are never limited on any plan.
- What's the difference between manual and scheduled refresh?
- Manual refresh pulls the latest data from Google Sheets when you click Refresh, and it's free on every plan. Scheduled refresh (Basic) does it for you every hour, day or week, as often as every 1 hour. Merged sources update when their inputs do. Parquet files are a snapshot: to update one, add the new file.
- What happens if I cancel or downgrade?
- You keep Basic until the end of the period you've paid for. After that nothing is deleted: your sources, views and collections stay, schedules pause, and you can still refresh by hand. You just can't connect more Google accounts than the Free plan allows.
- How does billing work?
- Basic is billed monthly. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, which also takes care of sales tax and VAT. You can update your card or cancel at any time from Account β Billing.
- Can I use Hipsift with Claude or ChatGPT?
- Yes, on every plan. Create an API key on the API Keys page and add Hipsift as an MCP server in Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or any other MCP client. Your assistant can then list your sources and run queries on your behalf.
